A Modern Way Recordings is pleased to announce its first release, Mine For Me, the debut single to be taken from Scottish alternative rock band Fatherson's debut album I Am An Island.
The single, which is released on Monday 5th August 2013 as a digital download, marks the first recorded output from the Glasgow based act since the release of single Firstborn in the summer of 2012.
Since then, the band have been busy working on their debut full length offering with longstanding producer and engineer Bruce Rintoul, and mixing engineer Lewis Gardiner (Midnight Lion, Prides). The result, I Am An Island, will be released towards the end of 2013 with more details to follow in the coming weeks. Fatherson have also continued to tour relentlessly throughout the first half of 2013, playing dates across the UK including a London showcase for This Is Fake DIY, support shows with Frightened Rabbit and numerous headline dates. Their live schedule has also seen the band take in some of the country's biggest festivals including an opening slot on the main stage of Rockness Festival, Brighton's Great Escape, Stag & Dagger, Belladrum and Heb Celt on the Isle of Lewis.
